Dear Friend,

I’m writing to encourage you to take this opportunity to visit the buzz of London before Christmas and see an interesting exhibitions of paintings.

I’ll also be showing 5 new works at the Thompson Gallery, New Cavendish Street, off Marylebone High Street, from the 27th November to the 22nd December.

The exhibition is of work by artists invited by the Howard de Walden Estate to show features, buildings and areas of the estate, which includes Regents Park, Marylebone High Street, Harley Street and the Royal Academy of Music. It should be a very stimulating exhibition.

It would be lovely to see you at either of these shows and in the meantime there’s a selection of recent work on my

I had the opportunity to visit the Country of Georgia a few months ago and more recently, I’ve been painting in Morocco and was taken by the vivid colour and architecture. So there will be plenty of activity in 2013.

See you soon,

Bob Brown

Traveling to Russian Geogia

I am preparing for a trip to Russian Georgia, a country that has had a turbulent history.  The Romans, Turks and most recentlyThe Russians have invaded it and left their mark on the Culture, Art , Architecture and History of the country.

I am travelling with a small group of scholars/historians and am the ‘team artist”, I hope to return in mid July with a painted record of the trip.

My new blog

For many years I have visited and painted in Iran, Syria, Russia, Turkey, China and Europe too. In future I hope to have exhibitions specifically linked to the work produced on my travels. The small group of scholars I travel with like to have a historic or architectural theme as the underlying reason for the journey.
